Katelyn Buchan, known as FlowKateOfMind Art, is a visual artist, muralist, designer, and wellness art facilitator who has been creating large-scale public artwork across the United States since graduating from Seton Hill University in 2016. With nearly a decade of experience, she has traveled nationally painting murals and selling her art that transform public spaces into vibrant, story-driven works rooted in community connection.
As the founder of FlowKateOfMind Art, a creative business she has led for six years, Katelyn brings art beyond the gallery and into everyday life. Her work spans outdoor murals created with spray paint and acrylic, live painting, community-centered workshops, and diversified art products including block-printed apparel, wearable art, journals, and a growing clothing line. Grounded in impressionism and surrealism, she enjoys using glazing techniques to build depth and movement within her work.
Katelyn is a vetted teaching artist with the Southern Alleghenies Museum of Art, working with schools throughout Allegheny County and surrounding communities. Through collaborative murals and meaningful workshops, she empowers students and community members to see themselves as creators—fostering confidence, creativity, and connection through the arts.

Alongside her writing, Katelyn recently completed a plein air landscape series inspired by her travels while pursuing her dream of being a touring artist. The collection features 20 paintings created across the country during her hiking journeys.
